All professional members are expected to submit their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours by deadline day, May 31.
Members are encouraged to take advantage of our elearning platform. The Institute has also introduced virtual training sessions which are also CPD accredited. Together, these can go a long way in assisting members to be up to date with their CPD requirements.
The CPD cycle runs for 12 months from 1 June to 31 May of the next year. All activities must be completed within the cycle in order to be accepted. Any CPD requirements or activities completed before or after the applicable cycle will not be accepted.
Professional member CPD requirements take into account business management, product training, qualification studies and systems training.
CPD activities that members can consider include, but are not limited to:
ââ€â€ÂÂÂÂSelf-study
ââ€â€ÂÂÂÂProfessional reading
ââ€â€ÂÂÂÂCoaching and mentoring
ââ€â€ÂÂÂÂAuthoring of papers
ââ€â€ÂÂÂÂConducting presentations
ââ€â€ÂÂÂÂAttending technical (insurance)
As part of our primary responsibility to our members as the IISA we have a member portal where CPD hours can be logged. This portal is also available to non-members at a fee. This makes it easier for members to keep track of their hours throughout the cycle. CPD is a requirement for all professional members of the Institute.
There is still time before the cycle ends to catch up on any outstanding hours, keep your eyes on our communicationplatforms for information regarding online sessions and don't forget to peruse our elearning offering as well.
