There is a new collaborative phase in the business space. It provides strategies to remain innovative and equipped for the future for those who embrace it. This phase means partnering for accelerated growth and creating value for customers - improving customer experience.

Our success as an industry will require a strong commitment to the principle of collaboration that has served us so well in the face of great global challenges. This new collaboration is urgently needed to boost growth and generate confidence in our common future.

We can and must cultivate better growth today, tomorrow, and together, to create value. We can only get it right by working together.

We should focus on shifting from stronger growth today to better growth tomorrow; from a more resilient industry to a more robust development industry; from the business landscape we live in today to the better landscape we can create in the future.

AIE 2023 will mark the beginning of an era that among other important factors focuses on delving in deeper to find the growth/development drivers of our industry and seek ways of meaningfully honing into them to create a desirable South African insurance industry - an industry that provides a win-win situation for all players.

Collaboration is a powerful business tool for companies, regardless of their size or industry. It typically refers to organisations working together to address problems and achieve goals that seem to be out of reach when working alone. We will be going in to the AIE 2023 to foster and solidify this incredible mindset that will see our industry better able to innovate and grow and increase our competitiveness on many levels.

What we cultivate and create together, will be our calling card to commercial activities. Also, it will underpin the success of the entire insurance industry and the financial sector at large. Individually we have achieved a lot, now it's time to work together to conquer and achieve much more.

The time has come to work together to create a united force for a common purpose; a ground-breaking purpose that will ensure that the industry is future fit for generations to come. This requires tirelessly channelling efforts towards one direction, developing and designing solutions that will meet the changing customer preferences, defeating obstacles, winning, and staying vigilant.
