In light of the new regulatory requirements that individuals and companies have to comply with from a CPD perspective, the IISA has put together packages to address the different needs of stakeholders in the insurance industry.

Professional Members of the Insurance institute of South Africa have access to record relevant CPD activities and to track their CPD compliance on the IISA membership portal. This is included as part of our membership offering.

There has been an increase in the need for non-members to record CPD activities. We have developed a new category named CPD Affiliate, it provides non-members with the functionality to have a CPD profile on the membership portal where they can keep their CPD records and access them when the need arises. This option is limited to CPD tracking and does not include other services offered to members.

The Insurance Institute of South Africa accredits courses and relevant activities offered by training providers and employers in the Short Term insurance industry for CPD purposes. Training providers have the option to register a CPD Event on an ad-hoc basis for both for FAIS or Professional Standards CPD accreditation or they can register to be a Corporate CPD Partner and pay a discounted fee for CPD Event registration of up to 10 events per year.

It is important to note that the Insurance Institute of South Africa will only record CPD activities for paid up members and CPD Affiliates.
