This month we profile a Member of the Professional Development Committee, Lydia Goiketliloe Mphahlane

Name: Lydia Goiketliloe Mphahlane
Position: Founder and Managing Director
Employer: Interactive Resources
Designation: Fellow of the Insurance Institute (FIISA)
Experience: 30 years in the insurance industry

I have 30 years of experience in the short-term insurance environment. I started my career as a trainee broker and developed to Senior Client Executive and Divisional Manager through working for companies such as Aon, Alexander Forbes Risk Services and Marsh. I am a Fellow member of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA).

I obtained my Diploma qualifications through the Insurance Institute of South Africa and Programme in Risk Management through UNISA.

As my contribution to the industry, I serve in the IISA board committee.

I am the founder and managing director of Interactive Resources. The company focuses on risk and insurance professional development and insurance consumer education, which we deliver through training workshops. I am a qualified assessor, accredited by ETDP-SETA. I have developed risk and insurance training content, some of which is approved by Insurance Institute of South Africa.

Although I landed in the profession by accident, I have never regretted it. In fact, I realise that I would never have been happier if I had chosen anything else.
