INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE SOCIETY: Glimpse into global industry priorities

The International Insurance Society (IIS) has published a series of reports exploring regulatory technology, cyber insurance, as well as a glimpse into global priorities.

These reports provide insight into the industry's global perspective and members can access copies on the CPD Hub.

The IIS's 2021 Global Priorities Survey, revealed, among other things that 9,776 Insurance executives were focused (READ MORE) on addressing issues relating to cyber security, climate change, pandemic recovery, competition for talent, data security and completion from outside the insurance industry.

ISS further explored 'Where Cyber Insurance Meets Cyber Integrity' in a separate study which found "cyber integrity is the foundational (READ MORE) instrumentation required to provide detection mechanisms and provides a new dawn for cyber insurance. Integrity instrumentation allows you fundamentally the ability to tag, track, and locate assets and events in cyberspace," among other things.

'Regulatory Technology - the changing landscape'. In this paper the IIS found that "now is the time for businesses to brainstorm their response to regulatory change, be influential (READ MORE) and challenge outdated regulation in light of the growing mismatch between traditional financial markets and the mainstream adoption of cyberspace parenthesised by preservation of data privacy and consumer protection."
