Whereas the IISA is the national professional body for insurance practitioners in South Africa, the local insurance institutes provide a unique function with networking opportunities and face to face seminars for CPD purposes.
The Insurance Institute of the Border
IIB which is centered in East London serves the Border area. We are fortunate to have an active council lead by a determined and motivated people. Our key focus area is providing education to our members but we also have many and varied fun social activities.
The Insurance Institute of Eastern Cape
The IIEC is there to provide and maintain a central organization for the promotion of efficiency, progress, welfare, knowledge, education and general development among persons engaged or employed in the insurance industry.
Insurance Institute of the East Rand
The East Rand comprises the region to the east of Johannesburg including the following areas: Alberton, Bedfordview, Benoni, Boksburg, Brakpan, Delmas, Germiston, Kempton Park and Nigel.The area is heavily populated with extensive commercial, industrial and agricultural interests.
Insurance Institute of the Free State
The IIFS dates back to the early 1960s and has always been involved in the development of our members.The IIFS’s main aim is to build cooperative relationships between all the role players within the insurance industry.
Insurance Institute of Gauteng
The IIG’s primary focus is on the personal professional development of the industry and its members by creating opportunities for them to learn, network, share knowledge and explore collaboration that would benefit the industry at large.
Insurance Institute of Kwa-Zulu Natal
As an institute, we are there to provide and maintain a central organization for the promotion of efficiency, progress, welfare, knowledge, education and general development among persons engaged or employed in the insurance industry.
The Insurance Institute of the Western Cape
The Insurance Institute of the Western Cape was first established in 1898 and is the oldest local institute in South Africa. We are a non­profit organisation committed to serving the interests of the insurance community of the Western Cape.
The Insurance Institute of Northern Gauteng
The Insurance Institute of Northern Gauteng was established in 1954 and maintained a proud history until recession and financial instability during the past few years caused a regression of the Institute as well.The targeted market of the IING is the entire Insurance Industry
